22:14. ಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನು, “ದಾವೀದನು ನಿನಗೆ ಬಹಳ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ದಾವೀದನಷ್ಟು ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಇತರ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ದಾವೀದನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಅಳಿಯ. ದಾವೀದನು ನಿನ್ನ ಅಂಗರಕ್ಷಕ ದಳಪತಿ. ದಾವೀದನನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಂತ ಕುಟುಂಬವೆಲ್ಲ ಗೌರವಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

22:14. ಅಹೀಮೆಲೆಕನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ--ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದನ ಹಾಗೆ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತನಾದವನು ಯಾವನಿ ದ್ದಾನೆ? ಅವನು ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಅಳಿಯನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವವನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಘನವುಳ್ಳವನೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.

22:14. Ahimelech replied to the king, "Who among all your servants is faithful like David? He is the king's son-in-law, the leader of your bodyguard, and honored in your house!
